June and Day, the two main characters in the book are at a time in their life where they realize they have to fight to live. They must fight because that's the world they live in. They become legends in their time because they are rebels and fight back.
Marie Lu the author of "Legend" was born in Beijing China. She moved to the United States when she was five years old. She went to the University of Southern California.
She was an art director in video games before she became a full time writer of young adult novels.
The setting of the book is in the ruins of Los Angeles. North America is in a Civil War.
We have a few questions such as:
- Why does Marie Lu's writing change when she goes from Junes point of view to Days?
- Why is violence tolerated or justified in this society?
- Who killed Junes brother?
- Why is Day the main suspect of the murder?
- Why does this book have so many dream parts?
Awesome job, so far! the only issue I see is that your font may be a little light. Other than that, this looks great! Make sure you proofread like crazy!
ReplyDeleteAnjali (Legend): I love the pictures. They are very relevant to the book. I would go back in and proofread some of the posts such as "Beijing China" should have a comma between it. Other than a few grammar mistakes, I love you blog.
ReplyDeleteMerry Lu Han (Legend): I like the color of the font. It definitely brought out the colors of the book. There were a few spelling mistakes. For example the word "Ledgend" should be spelled like "Legend." Overall, the design is great. Keep up the good work!

ReplyDeleteLuke Newton (Legend) Has a good precise font color change between activities. I like how this imitates the book's font color changes between gold and black. The only thing i can find to correct is the spelling in the "Marie Lu is Who?"
